There seemed to be some books previous to this with a few of the characters returning, but seeing as this is the first book from this author I have read, it didn't seem to make a difference. Ryker is a fighter, who of course spends most of his life training for his fights. When he spots the girl that made him look twice in his gym he makes a point to talk to her again. But Whitney is a runner and the moment that Ryker shows his interest in her, she bolts, but then she surprises us all when she goes back and wants to take him lunch as a thank you. The two start to dance this courtship of sorts, but when it really matters, will Whitney stay and stand strong or will she fold and run again? Will Ryker let her go or fight for her?This was such a hot read! I really enjoyed this story, with the drama, the bit of violence, and the sexy times that were so freaking steamy! I have already decided to go back and read the previous stories. I give this 5 stars.
