Surprise Release Blitz & REVIEW ***Doc's Ember by G.M. Scherbert***

SURPRISE!!!

~Doc

When Ember walked out on me I was ready to be put to ground. I barely gave a f*ck what happened to me before, but after she left, I didn’t care at all. The brothers always knew me as a hard ass with no feelings, which only got worse after she left.
The night I ran into her at the Dungeon, those feelings of pain, love, and lust returned in an instant. Then I found out about our son, and the pain I had been living with for the past five years blew up, with no one to blame but her.
When I find out the truth of why she left, no one will be safe.

~Ember

I thought that what we shared was in the past, leaving me with the most precious of gifts, my baby boy, Vincent. I came back to be closer to my father and thought that no one would notice I was back.
I was wrong.

As soon as I saw Doc again, all the feelings from the past came rushing back, I lost my heart to him on the spot, for the second time in my life. He is so angry and upset with me for leaving, but I had my reasons, and he will never get an apology from me for that.

When he finds out the truth, no one will be safe from him.    Not even me.

(3.75 Stars)

This is my first read from GM Scherbert and although this is book 4 of the series, books 1-3 are their own little arc, about a different couple, so not reading them didn't mean I was lost reading this. It does mean though that I know what happened with the first couple, so it's not essential to go back and read them IMO.

Doc's Ember had quite a good story to be honest. It was fast moving and I was rooting for Ember from beginning to end. Doc was a likable character too, and although he was a bit of a grumpy, angry person, it was completely understandable so I didn't mind him being that way.

However, for me, there were quite a few parts in this book that just seemed a bit far fetched and the way it was written I didn't much care for. Some of the things they were coming out with, the phrasing of it, I just kept thinking to myself "who talks like that?" especially considering they were bikers.

So while I did essentially like the story; it drew me in and kept me turning page after page, due to the writing style/phrasing I don't think this is a series I will be keeping up with. I will give it 3.75 stars purely for the storyline.
